There was a time, not so long ago, when this was a common, repeated phrase throughout the world. It meant isolation for many, fear and paranoia, loss of friends, missing family. At the time I created this piece it felt as if people were living on their own individual planets and could only wave from a distance. How sad this time was for so many. Human beings need touch.
