This particular artwork is meant to represent society and conformity and conforming to the masses. The creatures are all merged into one and the creature is all you can see for miles. Not all of them are happy to be part of the masses. The lantern is meant to show that you have to shine in a field of darkness and it’s not always pleasant to be just like your neighbour, stuck in a heaving mass. It's ok to be unique, to be different and although I know some are happy being in the masses, you don’t want to conform all the time, for your whole life – do you?
